Felipe Targino is a dedicated drummer and instructor with a strong passion for both performance and music education. Currently pursuing a degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Music at California State University San Marcos, Felipe brings a unique balance of analytical discipline and creative expression to his teaching.
Born in Brazil and raised in Encinitas, California, Felipe developed a deep connection to rhythm and music from an early age. Over the past two years, he has been actively teaching drums while performing with a diverse range of bands across multiple genres, including thrash metal, melodic metal, indie/punk rock, and pop.
This broad musical background allows Felipe to tailor each lesson to the individual student’s interests and goals—whether they are beginners building a foundation or more advanced players refining their technique and stylistic identity.
As an educator, Felipe emphasizes strong fundamentals, structured progress, and a supportive learning environment.
