이벤트 소개
Starting at 9 AM, the little ones will sing and dance joyfully, while the older children will absorb knowledge like sponges. For those with no musical background, we offer introductory lessons, and for those with some experience, we have morning practice sessions. Next, we have music games tailored to different age groups.
In our world music course, we will explore the music of 10 different countries and cultures over 10 days, accompanied by visual arts and fun crafts. Our music history lessons use Yale’s curriculum, adapted for younger audiences. Each day, we will appreciate a great musical work, with activities differentiated for younger and older children. Principal Meixuan will also adapt classic pieces into versions that the children can perform.
Lunch is a simple boxed meal or from the neighboring sushi restaurant, followed by afternoon activities. We will delve into the childhoods and growing pains of great musicians, featuring rare materials sourced from German art museums. After the biographical sessions, we offer elective courses.
Yes, you heard it right! Our summer camp includes elective courses. Children can choose an introductory instrument course, experiencing piano, violin, cello, wind instruments, guitar, drums, and ukulele over 10 days. Alternatively, they can select a specialized instrument course (with two students of similar level), or a songwriting and composition course to write their own song in 10 days.
At 2 PM, we have a guest musician give a lecture, with live demonstrations and group classes. Those not interested can opt for music software and technology courses to learn about the latest apps and AI in music. Optional late pickup from 3 to 6 PM includes practice sessions with teachers and watching music and cultural history documentaries.
We offer early bird registration for two-week sessions in the morning, afternoon, or full day. International students can also register (the last session runs in the third and fourth weeks of August). Language requirements are minimal, and most instructors are American, providing an authentic American music education experience. We can also help arrange accommodations. We accept children as young as 5.5 years old, up to middle and early high school students.
