Bio
Olesya Antonio is an internationally acclaimed opera singer and voice instructor based in San Diego, California. A laureate of several prestigious international competitions in Spain, Italy, and Bulgaria, she brings a wealth of performance and teaching experience to her students.
A graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg, Russia (Class of 2002), Olesya studied under the renowned Mariinsky Theatre soloist Mr. Sergey Aleksashkin.
Following her graduation, she made her professional debut with Neue Oper Wien in Vienna, performing in Orpheus by Czech-Monteverdi. In 2008, she joined the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Lisbon, Portugal, where she continued her successful career as an opera soloist.
Since relocating to San Diego in 2014, Olesya has dedicated herself to nurturing the next generation of singers through her comprehensive vocal instruction. Her teaching emphasizes healthy vocal technique, breath control, tonal resonance, diaphragm support, diction, interpretation, and stage performance.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level and artistic goals—whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Olesya offers lessons in English, Portuguese, and Russian, drawing on her international background to create a rich and inspiring learning experience.
