Age Requirement for Group Lessons
Lessons are available for following instruments

Belle Melodie Music Group Class Terms and Conditions
1. Registration
New students are required to pay a $50 registration fee. Registration and payment are due on the registration day.
2. Class Schedule and Enrollment
Each group class states how many classes in the session on its booking page. Students are expected to complete the enrollment before the first class of one session. Late enrollment is possible for some of the class with prorated tuition. But the registration fee can't be pro-rated.
3. Payment
The full payment is due on the registration day. This ensures your spot in the class is secured.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
Customer may withdraw from a class before or within 24 hours after the first class. There will be no refunds later than 24 hours after the first class.
Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the start of the class. After this period, no cancellations or refunds will be accepted.
5. Absence and Credits
Students who need to miss a class must inform the organization at least 24 hours before the class begins to receive credit for the same class in other sessions. A maximum of 2 classes can be credited in one session. Late cancellations will not be credited. Ensemble class and pop band class has no credit, but if 2/3 of the students ask for leave 48 hours before the class begins, the class will be cancelled without charging.
6. Conduct
Participants are expected to maintain respectful behavior towards instructors and fellow students at all times. Disruptive behavior may lead to dismissal from the class without a refund.
7. Intellectual Property
Course materials provided are for personal use only and may not be shared without permission. Recording of classes is prohibited unless explicitly authorized by the organization.
8. Liability
The organization is not liable for any personal injury or loss of property. Participation in all activities is at the participant's own risk.
9. Privacy
Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for class administration purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
The organization reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions as necessary. Participants will be informed of any significant changes.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for the class, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions, ensuring a clear understanding of the policies governing participation in the Belle Melodie Music Theatre Group Class.
Belle Melodie ABRSM Exam Group Class Policies
1. Attendance & Absence Policy

Students may take up to 1 absence per month.

Absences must be notified at least 24 hours in advance.

Due to the structured group format, regular weekly classes cannot be rescheduled individually.
Make-Up Arrangement:
-
Each month includes one dedicated group make-up session (1 hour, free of charge)
-
Teachers will specifically review missed materials for absent students during this session
-
No additional make-up classes or credits will be issued beyond the scheduled group make-up
Unexcused Absences:
-
Late notice (under 24 hours) or no-shows will be considered unexcused
-
No make-up, credit, or refund will be provided
2. Teacher Absence

If a teacher is unavailable:
-
A qualified substitute teacher will be arranged whenever possible
-
If not, a group make-up session or tuition credit will be provided
-
3. Academic Calendar & Scheduling

The program follows a semester system:

Spring: January – May (No class on January 1)

Fall: July – November

Flexible Months (June & December):
-
Classes continue if 2 or more students are available
-
If enrollment is insufficient:
-
Students may switch to private lessons (private rate applies)

These months may also be used for:

Make-up sessions

Schedule adjustments

Students unavailable in January or July may attend classes in December or June instead
4. Group Class Policy

Group classes are curriculum-based and progression-driven, and cannot be adjusted for individual schedules

Absences do not affect the class progression
-
If more than 2/3 of the class requests leave (48+ hours in advance), the class may be rescheduled
5. Tardy Policy
-
Students are expected to arrive on time
-
Late arrival will not extend class time
-
Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice will be considered a no-show
6. Exam & Progression Commitment

Students are expected to follow the program progression plan:

Target: 2 grades per year
-

Participation in mock exam and aural training sessions is strongly encouraged
7. Retake Policy

If a student does not pass the exam:
-
1st retake: Eligible for next group class at 50% tuition
-
2nd retake: Eligible for free participation in the following cycle
-
8. Registration & Refund Policy

Registration Fee:

New Students: $50

Referred / Returning Students: $35

Refund Policy:

Within 48 hours of registration: Full tuition refund (registration fee non-refundable)

More than 1 week before semester start: 50% tuition refund

Within 1 week of start or after: No refunds

9. Tuition & Billing
-
Tuition is based on a fixed semester structure (5 months) or monthly flat rate
-
Monthly absences do not reduce tuition
-
Group class tuition is non-transferable and non-refundable once the semester begins
10. Flexible Month Policy (June & December)
June and December are considered flexible scheduling months and are not included in the standard semester tuition.

Students who choose to attend classes during June or December will be required to pay for the additional month.

Students may request a month switch (e.g., replacing January or July with June or December):

The request must be made at the time of enrollment or with sufficient advance notice (typically at least 1 month prior)

Approval is subject to scheduling availability

If no prior month switch request is made, attendance in June or December will be treated as additional enrollment and billed accordingly
11. Policy Adjustment
Belle Melodie Music Art School reserves the right to adjust policies as needed to maintain program quality and operational efficiency.
